Repertoire Workshops
Why Join a Workshop
You’ll gain the chance to:
-
Build confidence and expression in your dancing
-
Apply class technique in a real artistic setting
-
Experience the joy of dancing in character or ensemble
-
Learn more about the ballets you’ve always loved
Our Repertoire Workshops offer adult dancers the unique opportunity to experience the magic of performing classical ballet in a relaxed, supportive setting. These optional sessions take place between our 6-week course blocks and are open to all levels, with thoughtful adaptations provided to suit each dancer’s experience.
Whether you’re just beginning or already attending open classes, repertoire is where your technique meets artistry.
What to Expect
In each workshop, you'll explore excerpts from famous ballets such as Swan Lake, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, and Don Quixote. You'll rehearse authentic choreography, adapted for adult learners, while developing your performance style, musicality, and storytelling.
Workshops include:
-
A short warm-up to prepare your body
-
Step-by-step guidance through selected choreography
-
Focus on style, coordination, and expressive movement
-
Time to revisit and refine the material as a group
-
Context and background about the ballet being studied
These sessions are fun, engaging, and a chance to bring your technique to life in a creative and community-focused environment.
Who Can Join
Anyone taking part in a course or open class, or with prior ballet experience, is welcome to join. Whether you’re new to ballet or have years of experience, there will always be options given so you can participate comfortably and confidently.
